CAMPING AT SUMMERFEST

Campers had a great time at Summerfest in 2024 and we definitely want to offer the opportunity to camp again in 2025. We have low cost festival camping with a Adult and Family Only camping areas (families can also go in the Adult camping area when that is sold out). In addition to this, we are going to allow campervans and motorhomes at the next event. For those who like some additional creature comforts, we also have two glamping sites in the village that you may want to book into.

What to do upon arrival and check-in procedure...

Check in for family camping on the Friday is from 3pm-6pm at the village hall car park (opposite Robinson Meadow) in Preston (CT3 1HB). You are required to check in upon arrival. Please inform the staff of your arrival before you set up your tent. You will be able to collect your camping wristbands and drop your camping gear off in that car park and then park your car in the car park on the recreation ground which is one minute walk.

We are asking that you unload as quickly as possible and spend no longer than 10 minutes doing this as we need to ensure that other campers can drop their equipment off. Adults camping on the recreation Ground will find it easier to park on the recreation ground car park to unload.

Adult campers and those with camper vans/motorhomes will be directed to these areas at the top of the village. It is just a short 5 minute walk to where the action is and is in a beautiful setting. We advise that campers bring torches so that you can find your way safely back to the site. There is a walk along a main road that does not have pavement the whole way unless you take the back route back to the site so pleaser bear this in mind.

Camping plots will be approximately 5m by 5m in size. If you have a tent that is larger than this, please let us know. We need people to camp in the designated plots to ensure that there is enough space for everyone.

Anyone without the correct wristband (unless they are a member of the Preston Summerfest Team) will not be allowed in the camping areas as we want to ensure the safety of campers and children (Security may periodically check camper’s wristbands). For this reason, it is essential that you collect a wristband before pitching up.

If you arrive after 11am on Saturday, you will need to park on the recreation ground car park and carry your belongings to Robinson’s Meadow. Wristbands can be collected from one of the entrance areas at the recreation ground on the Saturday. Speak to a staff member if you are unsure where this is. Please note that we can’t guarantee parking will still be available after 11am on the Saturday at the recreation ground and it is a 15-20 minute walk to the overflow car park. For this reason, we strongly advise that you arrive before 11am if you are only camping on the Saturday and Sunday night. Those staying in the adult camping field will be able to park their car next to their tent.

Drunken and disorderly conduct will not be tolerated. Be courteous towards your neighbouring campers and residents in the village and their respective properties.

When you leave – please leave no trace - Robinson Meadow is a pristine wildlife site and sanctuary and we wish to return the site undamaged to the community. The Adult and motorhome fields are on a farm where animals are kept and we want to ensure that they can use the fields safely afterwards.
