Since forming in 1997 Toploader have over two million album sales to their name and a string of top 20 hits both home and abroad. Their debut album ‘Onka’s Big Moka,‘ sold over one million copies and remained in the Top 5 of the UK album chart for over six months earning them 4 Brit Award nominations.

In 2000 the single ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ became a global hit spending over a year in European Airplay Charts transforming Toploader into a household name. In 2013 the same track re-entered the Top 40 for three weekend topped the 10,000,000 hits mark on Youtube, an incredible thirteen years after it was first released, cementing it as one of the biggest songs of recent times.

Hullabaloo – Returning to Rock the Main Stage at Preston Summerfest!

Get ready for an electrifying performance as Hullabaloo returns to Preston Summerfest! This high-energy Kent-based band has built a massive local following, and after their unforgettable set at our first festival, we just had to bring them back for Summerfest 2.

Known for their infectious energy, crowd-pleasing anthems, and incredible stage presence, Hullabaloo never fails to get audiences singing, dancing, and having the time of their lives. Their dynamic performances blend top-tier musicianship with a fun, feel-good atmosphere, making them a must-see act for music lovers of all ages.

Beyond their talent, they’re also some of the nicest guys in the business, and we can’t wait to welcome them back to the Main Stage this year. If you caught them at Summerfest 1, you’ll know why they’re a festival favourite—and if you haven’t seen them yet, you’re in for a real treat!

DJ, Producer & Dance Music Pioneer Graham Gold is a legendary British DJ, producer, and broadcaster whose name is synonymous with the evolution of dance music. With a career spanning over four decades, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the electronic music scene, from his early days in London’s club culture to his global recognition as a trance and progressive house icon.

Graham first made his mark in the 1980s, gaining widespread popularity as the drive time presenter on JFM radio and resident DJ at  6 nights a week at Mayfair's Gullivers Club. This led to him joining Capital Radio for the Saturday night soul show and becoming an integral part of the Radio London Soul Night out weekly event. He joined Kiss 100 from the first day it went legal, where his influential specialist Friday Night Kiss and Saturday night radio shows introduced millions to house, trance, and techno.

His Peach club nights at London’s Camden Palace (later KOKO) became the stuff of legend, attracting top-tier DJs and devoted clubbers alike. Throughout the ‘90s and early 2000s, Graham became a key figure on the international DJ circuit, playing at major festivals and superclubs worldwide, including Glastonbury, Ultra Music Festival, BCM,  Amnesia etc.

His electrifying sets and deep passion for music earned him a place in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs five years in a row. As a producer, Graham Gold has released tracks on a number of highly respected labels, delivering cutting-edge sounds in trance and progressive house.

His move to  Koh Phangan in Thailand, dubbed S.E. Asia’s Ibiza, led to a change in music style where he now embraces techno, deep house, and all the genres around progressive and melodic house. After decades in the industry, he remains a very influential figure, while continuing to tour and release music.

We are beyond delighted to announce that Graham Gold will be part of the DJ line-up at Preston Summerfest! His legendary sets continue to captivate audiences worldwide, and we can’t wait for him to bring his signature energy to our festival.

Everyone loves a bit of Madness and tributes do not come much better than this band.

We are so chuffed to have these guys along and didn't need a special reason to book them. They are brilliant. Barry the lead singer has a strong connection with Demlelza, one of the charities that we are pleased to be supporting. They provided Barry's daughter, Caitlin, with care throughout her life. Please take a couple of minutes to read Caitlin's Story, written by her dad Barry. He will be on stage helping us to raise money for this amazing charity and we are delighted that he will be joining us along with his fellow band members..

As soon as the Summerfest team saw Shiva, we were all in agreement that they were perfect for our festival. They perform high energy covers of dance classics and the lead singer's vocals are amazing. They will be performing on the Main Stage on the Saturday.

Hurly Burly have an incredible and unique sound that encompasses punk, pop, folk and rock. They reside in Brighton and will be playing for us early on the Sunday evening. Check out their social media to see what they are about and we guarantee you will want to see them live!

This is the ultimate tribute to Red Hot Chilli Peppers in the U.K.

They are as close to the real thing as you will get and are full of energy. They guarantee to get the crowd jumping any fan of the Chillis will love this act. We are so excited to see them in action at Summerfest 25. 

Producer and DJ Greg Brookman (Goat Thief Records, WUU Media) has been ever present on the UK dance scene for over 20 years and we are delighted to have him at Summerfest.

Hard, driving trance is the bread and butter of what Greg likes to play but he also likes to include all sorts in his sets. Techno, tech trance, hard house, electro, psy and even the occasional pop sample here and there!

Sunset Alley is an acoustic duo featuring David Arnold and John Warwicker, bringing the soulful sounds of country classics and Southern country rock to life. With a setlist inspired by legends like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings, their performances blend rich harmonies, skilled guitar work, and a deep passion for timeless music.

Originally from South East London, David and John both made the move to Herne Bay, where their shared love of guitar led them to busk together for fun. After years away from the band scene, they rediscovered their passion for performing and found their groove as an acoustic duo. The stripped-back style not only suited them perfectly but also began to resonate with audiences, leading to a growing number of gigs and a dedicated following.

Now, Sunset Alley continues to bring authentic, heartfelt country music to venues and events, delivering a warm, nostalgic sound that keeps audiences coming back for more.

These chaps will be a fantastic addition to the acoustic stage at Preston Summerfest this year. You can catch them on the Sunday afternoon!

Bringing infectious grooves and feel-good energy to the decks, Funk by Nature (aka DJ Shiva) has been lighting up dancefloors since the mid-90s. Starting out as a jungle and DnB DJ in Kent, he took his sound global, playing regular sets at Beijing’s underground DnB scene with the Syndicate crew.

In China, he expanded his musical horizons, teaming up with international musicians and vocalists from the US, France, and Ireland to form the Acid Jazz/Funk band, Acid Live. Over six years, the group released a studio album and toured across the country before parting ways. Relocating to Chengdu in 2015, he continued to bring the party to local events and underground clubs.

By 2017, Funk by Nature was honing his signature sound—creating annual funk mixtapes that fused classic funk, soul, disco, and old-school hip-hop with fresh, upbeat remixes. His seamless, high-energy sets deliver a unique groove that gets everyone moving.

Get ready for a funk-fueled journey at Preston Summerfest—because when Funk by Nature takes the stage, the good vibes are guaranteed.

Local lad, Dave Irvine has been a driving force in the DJ scene since the early 2000s. With an electrifying presence behind the decks, he has played at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including Ministry of Sound, Camden Palace, Turnmills, and The Egg. His sound has also taken him beyond the UK, with standout sets in Ibiza, Dubai, and beyond.

A respected producer as well as a DJ, Dave’s tracks and remixes have earned support from industry legends like Carl Cox and have been featured on Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1. As one half of the legendary free party collective Prehab, he was instrumental in hosting unforgettable events at Southside Bar and holding down a long-running Friday night residency at Turnmills for The Gallery.

This summer, Dave brings his signature blend of House and Techno to Preston Summerfest, setting the stage for an unmissable, sun-soaked dance experience.

Piqué – A DJ You Don’t Want to Miss at Summerfest 25!

What an addition to our Summerfest 25 DJ lineup! Piqué is a true master behind the decks, bringing years of experience from some of the world’s most iconic clubs. As a resident at Peach, London’s biggest and longest-running club night, he’s earned a reputation for delivering unforgettable sets that keep dancefloors packed from start to finish. His impressive résumé includes residencies at Pacha and Ministry of Sound, as well as appearances at the UK and international clubbing scene’s most prestigious events.

Renowned for his stunning house sets, Piqué’s ability to craft the perfect vibe is second to none. But don’t be surprised if he takes things up a notch with a blistering trance set—his tune selection is always spot on, and his versatility behind the decks makes every performance special. We’re beyond excited to have him at Summerfest 25, and trust us—you won’t want to miss this one!

Phil Tong our Sound and Stage Manager is in this band but that is not they reason they are playing for us. We invited Indi-3 to play at Summerfest 1 and Phil offered his support and help and their band is so good that we are getting them back. They put their own spin on covers of tracks that everyone loves and we know that they will be brilliant on the Main Stage. 

Known for his high energy set's and trademark acid sound, Dale West is a hard house DJ, Producer & promotor from Canterbury, Kent.

His love of the scene started in 1999 when he acquired his first decks, a set of technics 1210's and instantly became hooked on DJing. 

Since then he has enjoyed consistent bookings playing alongside some of the underground hard house scenes leading DJs for many of the top brands around the UK. 

Dale has been booked to play for such brands as Tribe of Frog, Acid Leak @ Boomtown Fair, Twist, Ressurection, Shine, HDM, Inside Out and many others! 

From packed sweatboxes to main rooms and quirky festival stages, Gordon knows how to move a crowd. Cutting his teeth in London’s hard house scene over 20 years ago before evolving into techno and house, one thing has always remained at the heart of his sets—an infectious groove.

A seasoned DJ with residencies across the South East, Gordon has played some of the UK’s most iconic venues, including SEOne, Ministry of Sound, and The Fridge (now Electric Brixton), as well as delivering extended sets in more intimate spaces. His versatility is key, seamlessly blending genres while maintaining his signature chunky, rolling sound.

Expect high-energy 4/4 grooves spanning house and techno, peppered with familiar tracks (or unexpected twists on them), all served with a playful edge—because, after all, this is a festival.

We are keen to champion new bands and new music at Summerfest and we are so pleased to be able to introduce Polo Lounge who will be kicking things off on the main stage on the Saturday at our festival. We are not the only ones who are championing this fantastic new band, BBC Introducing Kent have been giving them a lot of air time recently with good reason. Checkout their latest singles 'Joyride' and 'Trapped Nerve' to get a flavour of their sound. Polo Lounge are a 4-piece indie / alternative rock band from the coastline of South East Kent and we hope that you will arrive early to support an up and coming local group!

Josie, aka Joannie, is the co-organizer of Preston Summerfest and the mastermind behind the beloved SoundVibes Sound System parties. A true veteran of the scene, she’s been DJing for over 30 years, bringing her deep knowledge and passion for dance music to every set. Whether it’s house, techno or old-school, one thing’s for sure - when Josie steps up to the decks, the dancefloor comes alive.

As a founding member of Alien Nation alongside Warren Eraser and Stuart Long, Josie has left her mark on the underground scene, playing at legendary brands like Pendragon, TVC, and The Cream European Tour. From prestigious club nights to raw underground raves, she’s done it all.

We might be biased, but trust us - you won’t want to miss her set!

Squangey Bobbins are a local 5-piece rock band from Margate with an authentic British Rock sound similar to Stereophonics, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Feeder.

They broke into the charts as part of the compilation album Brits and Pieces 2 which hit the number 52 spot in the official UK charts. The album saw support from the likes of Frank Turner, The Subways and Robert Carlyle.

They have also had music played on BBC radio, being likened to Foo Fighters. Their album ‘Electric Vinyl’ was picked up by HMV Thanet and was in the official HMV Recommends section. They currently boast over 50,000 streams on Spotify and counting. They have sold out shows at numerous local venues including the Tom Thumb Theatre, The Dugout and Elsewhere as well as performing at huge local events including Rock, Dock & 12 Smoking Barrels Festival. The band have played on the iconic Scenic stage at Dreamland, Ramsgate Music Hall, The Libertines' Albion Rooms and supported artists such as Riskee and the Ridicule.

They play a mixture of originals and covers. They are not to be missed!

Layla is another Sound Vibes resident. She has a real natural talent for DJing and her tune selection is always on point. She played a couple of brilliant house sets at Summerfest 24 and there was no hesitation in getting her to play at the next one. She is a superstar in the making!

DJ Steelo - Back by Popular Demand!

After absolutely smashing it at last year’s Summerfest with an electrifying Drum and Bass set, we knew we had to bring DJ Steelo back for another round! His high-energy mixing, flawless selections, and ability to work the crowd made him a festival highlight, and this year promises to be just as epic. If you caught him last time, or have seen him tear up the decks elsewhere - you already know this is a set you don’t want to miss.

But there’ s more to Steelo than just heavy-hitting D&B. With a deep love for UK Garage, he knows exactly how to switch it up and drop the freshest garage anthems. If we’re lucky, we might just get to hear him blend those signature sounds into his set - so get ready for rolling basslines, skippy beats, and pure festival vibes!

Adam is a professional acoustic indie/folk/rock/pop solo artist with over 300 songs in his repertoire. He uses a loop pedal to give the sound of everything from a soloist to a full band sound.

He is a very talented chap and we are looking forward to seeing him gracing the acoustic area which will be a new addition to Summerfest.

The very talented Tom Wilson will be performing his own brand of acoustic country music in our acoustic area on the Saturday. He has a great voice and will fit in brilliantly at our village family friendly music festival.

Tommy’s love for music - especially house and trance - has been a lifelong passion, and it’s exactly what you can expect to hear in his sets. In his early twenties, he turned that passion into action, promoting events, most notably Almost Perfect, a night that welcomed legendary names like Graham and Ben Gold, Judge Jules, Matt Hardwick, and the Sucker DJs. More than just a great party, Almost Perfect raised money for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices - an organisation close to Tommy’s heart and where he works today. That same commitment to giving back is why Summerfest proudly supports a local children’s hospice, Demelza.

Alongside his partner-in-crime, Josie, Tommy is the driving force behind Preston Summerfest. What started as a casual gathering - some drinks, a cheeky mix on the decks - quickly evolved into a series of parties under the SoundVibes brand. Before they knew it, those parties had grown into a full-scale festival. Their love for DJing and event organising is matched only by their passion for bringing people together, all while raising money for charity.

Every great dad dance needs a killer soundtrack, and DJ Dad has you covered! Proof that dads can absolutely be cool, his spot-on tune selection will have everyone grooving to a summery reggae vibe. A talented DJ and a proud father, DJ Dad embodies the spirit of Summerfest, bringing his kids along to share the fun. We’re thrilled to have him spinning tracks and spreading good vibes—it’s family-friendly fun at its finest!
